At the occasion held at Ogbeowelle Community Hall, Favour Chukwudebelu, an SS1 student of Ibusa Girls Grammar School, said the opening prayers. In her opening address, the founder and chief executive of the foundation, Ngozi Ezeoba-Nwaokolo, appreciated the children for coming. She went ahead to explain the reason for establishing the foundation, which is majorly to empower the widows and the indigent in the society. Going down memory lane how she became a widow at the age of 32 years, she highlighted the feelings of similar women in the same shoe. As a result, she decided to do what she is doing with the aim of impacting in their lives. Apart from the widow’s foundation, she extended the goodwill to their children.

One of the beneficiaries, Friday Godwin, a senior secondary student of Omu Boys Secondary School, disclosed that he had been a regular beneficiary from the foundation. He eventually thanked the founder for her kind heart. She therefore encouraged the children to make good uses of the packages. She threw some questions that Emmeline Ifechukwude and Favour Chukwudebelu responded to. She then reminded them that self-discipline, contentment, and fear of God in their lives remain an ultimate goal they should imbibe. In his address, the Delta State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Charles Aniagwu, ably represented by his Special Adviser, Mr. Power Osiweghor added his voice by expressing his love for such foundations and human capital gestures. He thanked the founder of the foundation for such humanity aimed at bettering society at large. He advised the students to avoid stealing and living a bad life. He submitted that it is not easy to help others as it takes a noble mind to create and leave such legacies in life. As a result, he concluded by pledging to make Delta State and Nigeria a better place
